NAS Purpose
The National Achievers Society is an honor society that recognizes, encourages, and reinforces achievement among African American youth and other youth of color. The purpose of National Achievers Society is to create a national group presence of achievement in which young people can aspire and participate. National Achievers started through the Urban League.
The Sanderson High School Chapter of NAS began in December, 2023. Inductees are in grades 10 or 11, exhibit good character, have a minimum cumulative 3.0 weighted grade point average (GPA), care about service and leadership, and support the above NAS purpose.
