Guest Speaker: Monika Johnson-Hostler is a dedicated public servant and lifelong advocate for education, equity, and community engagement. In 2024, she was elected to the NC House of Representatives after serving on the Wake County Board of Education from 2013-2024, including two years as Board Chair. She is also the Executive Director of the NC Coalition Against Sexual Assault, where she has led statewide efforts to support survivors and strengthen prevention initiatives. A graduate of Fayetteville State University, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and later completed a Master of Public Administration from NC Central University. She is passionate about empowering young people to lead with purpose, courage, and compassion - reminding every student that their voice and vision can shape the future.
