Titan Harmony is South Garner High School’s proficient auditioned select ensemble for 10th - 12th grade students. This group will sing a variety of repertoire that is engaging, rigorous, and fun. In this elective, we will expand our knowledge of music theory by not only rhythmically and melodically sight reading music, but also by analyzing its harmonic form and structure. Important emphasis will also be given to music history, articulation, dynamics, tempo, and musical expressive elements. Titan Harmony is an honors level course. Because of this, students are required to create and maintain a choral portfolio using google sites. This class is a performing elective. Titan Harmony will participate in many performances throughout the year such as school concerts, community performances, MPA (music performance adjudication) Field Trip, and a Spring Competition Field Trip.
