Wednesday, December 18: Students worked in class to finish their interactive timeline notes on the Lewis & Clark expedition. Students created a letter to President Jefferson explaining their findings taking on the role as Lewis & Clark. HW: Finish letter (minor grade)

Thursday, December 19: Students completed the National Geographic Bee in class and completed notes on the War of 1812 (Cornell Notes). HW: None

Friday, December 20: Students watched America The Story of US: Westward to understand the westward expansion of the United States in the early 19th century.

Monday, February 10: Cores 3 and 4 students worked on completing the technology use and innovation during the Civil War activity that Cores 1 and 2 completed Thursday. Students analyzed various perspectives of individuals in the Civil War by completing an assignment on Diversity in the Civil War (handout for this is under last week, above on the right). Thursday, February 27: Students worked on building their final reflection of the Reconstruction era and participated in a concentric circles activity to discuss their ideas. HW: Reconstruction Quizizz due tonight by 8pm!

Friday, February 28: Students participated in a socratic seminar with their peers to analyze the Reconstruction era and share their takeaways from the end of our unit. HW: Reconstruction Part III of Curated Project is due at the end of class Wednesday.
