She is a graduate of North Carolina State University and was awarded Apex Middle's First Year Teacher of the Year 2015-2016.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, exploring North Carolina, reading a great book, going to the beach, and attending NC State & Carolina Panther football games! Ms. Scruggs loves the fall season most and is excited to start this awesome new school year with you!
