Updates to the CCP Enrollment Process:
Application or Continuing Student Form for SU/FA terms:
As a way to reduce the number of forms, transcript and signature requests, we have consolidated the Summer & Fall term for New Student Applications and Continuing Student Forms. This means that a Student who completes a New Student Application or Continuing Student form for Summer or Fall, will automatically be eligible to register for both terms without needing an additional application/form --with the exception of New 10th Students applying for Fall (see below). As registration overlaps and we are not necessarily gathering any new information by requiring forms for both terms, we want to make things easy and streamlined.
New 10th Grade Students who apply for Fall will only have access to register for Fall only. Students will be flagged internally as 10th grade Students fall under 9th & 10th grade eligibility standards if they want to take courses this Summer. If they decide they want to take a course over the Summer after applying for the Fall term, they will need to email the CCP Team (ccp@waketech.edu) about taking a Summer course, an advisor will review their options and request any items or documents to review eligibility. They will not need to complete another application.
New Students who are right on the cusp for College Transfer Eligibility (Fall term):
Students who have an Unweighted 2.8 -3.0 will be internally flagged for an Unweighted GPA recheck. Students will receive an email notification that they have provisional pathway acceptance; it will let Students know that the team will reach out to their High School towards the end of July to confirm that the Student did in fact maintain or increase their unweighted GPA and are eligible to remain in the pathway. Students who drop below the Unweighted GPA of 2.8 will be given the option to change pathways and register for courses they don't need to meet College Transfer eligibility for.
Per State Guidelines, Students have to meet eligibility standards for their pathway and grade level as of the first day of the term they are taking a course.
I will be the one reaching out over the Summer to follow up with any Students who may need a recheck!
Continuing Student Forms:
Students who have previously taken a Wake Tech course or have a Wake Tech ID from applying previously, will need to click "Current CCP Students" to access the Continuing Student Form link. Students will have the option to "sign in" only. They will need to use their personal email address that they originally used to complete their New Student Application. If they are unsure of their log in, they can email the CCP inbox for assistance. We are trying to avoid students creating new accounts or completing additional New Student applications under the "New CCP Students."
Enrollment Cycle Dates:
Summer & Fall Enrollment Cycle dates have been added to the CCP Calendar. Anyone can find an event and save it to their personal calendar.

Course Materials:
Textbooks & Access Codes:
This semester we had an issue with Access Codes and Students suddenly losing access to their course materials. Nothing changed regarding CCP Students being responsible for their course materials. What happened is that CCP Students received longer trial access, which is what those who participated in Eagle Advantage receive. There have been collaborative efforts made with the Bookstore and Book companies to ensure that this will not happen again.
Course Material Cost(s):
We know that textbook costs are a barrier for Students to consider participating in CCP or being able to remain enrolled after the free access has ended. There are some courses that are "OER" (Open Education Resources) which means there are no required fees for course materials.
Once the Semester Catalog opens for a term, Students can view course materials and pricing online.
Here is how you access it from the main webpage:
Click "Menu" at the Top
Look for the box "Student Life" and click "Bookstore."
This is the first paragraph on the webpage "Wake Tech bookstores, operated by BibliU, provide the books, electronics, supplies, and other materials students need for any course. "
Students will need to click the link "Bibliu"
Click 'Course Materials" at the top — scroll to "Order Textbooks" and click "General Textbooks."
Click "Search by Course" --Search by department and then "Course-Section-Instructor."

The following information is shared in the Student Newsletter as well. This may be helpful in sharing via email or other means of communication to your CCP Students.
Student tips for successful registration:
Know your Pathway(s):Make sure you know which courses you can register for.
Either open the pathway in a separate tab or register using the "view your progress"
Review the course information section to review are any additional details such as:
Days and time of class (if any)
Campus location of the course
Distance Education
Is the class asynchronous? Are there any proctored exams? Does the class have a virtual class meeting once a week?
Double-check you are registered.
Clicked "Register for all" if you planned your courses
Your courses are saved, and you are actually registered.
Potential Student Registration Issues:
You get a pop-up that you cannot register at this time.
You have not completed your Continuing Student form, so you have not been cleared to register.
You will need to upload your transcript, and your HS designee/principal will have to approve, so get it completed ASAP, if you haven't already.
You completed a New Student application in a previous semester and never registered for a course.
You will need to complete a continuing Student form
Already completed the continuing student form?
Complete the post-acceptance steps

Complete E-Learning Intro (Eli)
You are trying to add a course and it won't let you:
You may be trying to register for a course that is restricted
This could be for a few reasons. Take a screenshot of the error and email the CCP inbox for assistance.
You select a course that requires a co-requisite course or lab
Some Math and English courses have supplemental courses that are required. If you select a course with a "G" in the section number, for example ENG 111 0001G, you will have to take the corresponding ENG 045 0001G section.
If you do not want to take an additional support course, look for a section that does not have a "G" (Ex. ENG 111 0001)
Any course that has a co-requisite or pre-requisite, you have to fulfill that requisite to enroll in the course.
You have not completed mandatory advising
9th & 10th grade students in the College Transfer Pathway are required to complete Mandatory academic advising before being cleared for self-registration.
Reach out to the CCP Team via email for the link to complete your mandatory advising.
