School Counselor Appointment Procedures for Students

Your school counselors enjoy working with students on a one-on-one basis. We encourage students to meet their counselor early in high school to build an ongoing relationship. Find your school counselor on our Directory.

You can schedule an appointment online using the counselor's appointment link. Please go to Meet our Staff, choose your counselor, then click on the Appointment link to choose a day and time that works best. Once you choose a day and time, the meeting will be automatically added to your RHS Google Calendar. Show your teacher the appointment in your RHS Google Calendar as your pass to come to Student Services.

When we are on campus, you can stop by Student Services, before school, during lunch, or after school, and request to a meeting with your counselor. The best method to schedule an appointment is to use your counselor's Appointment link. If your counselor is not available, you will have the opportunity to set up an appointment to see them. You will need a pass from a teacher to come to the Student Service Office if it is not during one of these times or if you do not have an appointment.

If this is an urgent matter or an emergency, let us know immediately.

You can schedule an appointment online using the counselor's appointment link. Please go to Meet our Staff, choose your student's counselor, then click the Appointment link to choose a day and time that works best for an in-person appointment. Once you choose a day and time that works best for you, it will be automatically sent to your email and/or calendar.

If you would like a google meet appointment, please email your student's Counselor.

Please refer to our Directory for your student's counselor.

Although the counselors do try their best to be accessible, if you come to or call the Student Services office without an appointment, there is no guarantee that your child's counselor will be available. Often counselors have other appointments, are working with students or may be out of their office due to classroom guidance, testing, or meetings off campus. If you are in crisis, please let us know.

If your child is in crisis and you need urgent assistance, our team will make every effort to speak with you or will arrange for another, available counselor to assist you and your student.

IMPORTANT: If the parent's or guardian’s home, work, or cell phone number change, please contact Student Services to update the number. In case of emergency, it is critical that we have updated and current numbers in PowerSchool. You can verify if the phone number is correct by logging into the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

**Please be reminded that staff and counselors can speak only to legal guardians about a student**
