Rumors is a comedy farce. A group of high society New Yorkers have arrived at an engagement party where everything is going wrong. The servants and hostess are missing, and the host has been shot through the earlobe and can't talk because he took too many valium. Now as more guests arrive they have to pretend that everything is fine while trying to keep track of who knows what and what lies have been told, all while things spiral farther and farther out of control.
