For the week of January 12, students continue their “Becoming a Researcher” unit focusing on the unique characteristics of birds. They record their learning in research journals and begin writing informational paragraphs on their learning.

Durante la semana del 12 de enero, los estudiantes continúan su unidad “Convertirse en investigador” enfocándose en las características únicas de las aves. Registran su aprendizaje en diarios de investigación y comienzan a escribir párrafos informativos sobre su aprendizaje.

MATH/ matemáticas

For the week of January 12, students will model, solve, and record results of compare problems and will learn a new, more efficient way to use pictures to solve these types of problems.

Durante la semana del 12 de enero, los estudiantes explorarán la igualdad. Determinarán si las ecuaciones que involucran suma y resta son verdaderas. Nos concentraremos en si una expresión es igual a un total o si dos expresiones son iguales entre sí.

Science/ ciencia

For the week of January 12, students will continue with the project-based learning experience by learning about how we can help birds survive in winter. Students will learn about bird habitats and how we can meet their needs.
