GETTING READY FOR FIRST GRADE

Lucky for PME, summer is only a short 8 weeks! We will all be back together again before long and the "summer slide" is less noticeable. Summer slide is when students lose the skills they had worked so hard to gain the previous school year that prepared them for the next grade level. Are you curious how you can best support your student this summer to help them prepare for starting first grade? We can help. Please read our summer support letter that was sent home with our kindergarten students at the end of the 2025-26 school year. 

MEET THE TEACHER 2026

The First Grade Team is excited for the 2026-27 school year! We cannot wait to meet our new students and families. Please plan to join us for the Meet the Teacher event being held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 between noon and 2:00 p.m. at Partnership. You will find out your child's classroom teacher and get an opportunity to explore their classroom. This is also a great time to drop off school supplies so your child is not having to carry them in on the first day of school. We hope to see you there!
