Our Mission
Neuse River Middle School Student Services seeks to provide a data-driven comprehensive counseling program which addresses academic, career and social and emotional needs of all students using responsive and equitable practices. We are committed to advocating for and providing equal access and relevant post-secondary opportunities to develop students to be independent, collaborative, critical thinkers prepared to be lifelong productive global citizens. We will intentionally close achievement and opportunity gaps by providing access to rigorous coursework and post-secondary opportunities through classroom sessions, conducting small groups and collaborating with our stakeholders, parents, administrators, teachers and our advisory committee which will result in improved student achievement, attendance and discipline.

Talking Points

Teachers and School Staff communicate on a day-to-day basis through Talking Points. Reach out to your student's grade level counselor if you need help with Talking Points.

WCPSS created this handbook to help you and your child understand the rules and expectations in school, on the way to and from school and at school-sponsored activities. We encourage you to discuss those rules and this document with your child.
