Q: How do I schedule a conference with my child's teachers?

A: Team teachers schedule their own conferences. The core team conferences together. Please email the teachers https://www.wcpss.net/domain/7443 to request a conference.

Q: What do I do if someone is picking on my child?

A: Please let your child's teacher know as soon as possible and tell your child to tell the teacher when it happens. It is also helpful if you let the grade level counselor know. If the situation continues after you have told the teacher & counselor, please tell an administrator. We will follow up on every situation when you let us know and when we have the names of the students involved.

Q: Can I change my elective on my schedule?

A: Students will end up taking most of the electives we offer during their 3 years in middle school. Because of that and because classes fill up - elective changes are VERY rare.

Q: Why can't I find my child's homework assignments on Parent Portal/Homebase?

A: Parent Portal is a confidential site where you can view your child's grades and attendance. It requires a username and password because it links to confidential information about your child. Homework assignments can be found through Google classroom which your student can show you. Parents may also message a teacher through Talking Points.
