Hello! My name is Megan Corey and I am the 8th grade school counselor at Neuse River Middle School! I am excited to work with you and your student as they navigate middle school and prepare for high school and their future.
I am originally from North Carolina and haved lived in Raleigh for over 10 years. I love to play sports, be outside, and read books. My goal as a school counselor is to help students see the value in their education and for them to feel like they belong at Neuse River MS. I want all students, regardless of who they are, to know their full potential, want to reach their full potential, and know we are here to support them no matter what.

Your student will receive a red folder with their course offerings from their high school. They will register on Power School with Ms. Corey on the date below.

8th graders will be taking a field trip to Vernon Malone, Wake Early College of Information and Biotechnologies, & Wake Early College of Health and Sciences.
Proof of Required Immunizations
Proof of Required Immunizations
(TDap & MCV) must be provided to the school for all 7th grade students.
All Immunization requirements and health assessments are due within the first 30 calendar days of the start of the school year. Between now and early July is a good time to get those for our current 6th graders. As you schedule check ups, please make sure your child gets these required immunizations.
