North Ridge Elementary is located in North Raleigh. There is a strong, community feel in the neighborhood, with many multi-generational families. The PTA is extremely active and there are many parent volunteers. The library is on a fully fixed schedule. The school was constructed in 1960 and the media center was added in 1987. During the 2018-2019 the building was renovated and the school has reopened in the new space in 2019-2020.
