From 8:00 - 9:30, have students log into Dreambox for practice.
To access each program, students must log in through their Wake ID Portal, using their WakeID. They can access this from the Lynn Road Elementary website. Once into their Wake ID district portal, the Dream Box icon will appear as one of the applications available to them.
Dreambox:
K-2 students are suggested to complete 5-10 lessons, which should take them about 45-60 minutes per week.
iStation should be completed every remote learning day. PLEASE do not do the May ISIP test independently. Students should bring their devices to school on May 7 for us to complete that together- independently but in class. Thank you for your help with that.
*It is VERY important that your child works without any help while using Dreambox. All of the work that your child does at home is recorded and reported to your child’s teacher. This allows teachers to see when help is needed. Please encourage your child to try every problem - even when it is hard, finish every lesson - instead of choosing a different lesson, use the in lesson support - help and hint buttons, keep the volume turned on, and work independently.
**Please let your child’s teacher know if you have trouble accessing either one of these programs or are unable due to internet access/computer access.
**More information regarding virtual learning is to come.
Thank you for your continued help and support at home and we hope you are all staying safe and healthy!!
https://sites.google.com/wcpss.net/mrsbryan/home is the Google classroom website. Obviously, STEMposium is not happening this year but I left pictures up.
Things to work on- Please do call my cell if you need support or your student would like to talk to me. We are truly a school family and I miss them!
Read and play games with sight words daily. Read any books that are sent home and ask students to retell the book. (For fiction, we use First, Next, Then and Last. For Non-fiction, we use tell me the main idea of the text. Now tell me 3 details about what you read.)
Math- Have students count to 100 by 1's and by 10's.
Daily- Students take brain breaks to refocus their energy.
