Behavior Expectations
Pause for PAWS!
Pause for PAWS!
We use the "classroom hand signals" school wide as a tool to help monitor behaviors.
We use the "classroom behavior agreement" questions to help guide our creation of our social contracts.
Our school uses "P.A.W.S." to help guide our social contracts.
Our class uses DOJO to help students earn points for positive choices during the day. Parents are encouraged to sign up and follow their students' progress.
We are earning PAWS for our positive behaviors!
Our school expects students to...
Be Safe
Be Kind and
Be Responsible.
We pause to reflect on our PAWS daily.
Our class expectations include our school expectations involving being safe, kind and responsible. We talk about what those things look like and how we can make good choices daily.
We use “capturing kids hearts” and have a social contract that we create together. We all sign the contract and add ideas to it so that we are all accountable for following the contract daily.

I ask that students try their best daily and that they have positive "self talk". Instead of saying "I can't" we would like them to say "I can't yet". "Yet" is a powerful word. Our class also uses the growth mindset (and beyond)...mistakes help us to grow. We live ISH-ly and learn from our mistakes.
