Standard II

My classroom uses the relationship building curriculum of Capturing Kids Hearts to develop our classroom culture, relationships, and daily routine. We share good things at the begining of class to start our day on a positive note and end with our daily launch. Students created our social contract and signed it to show they have ownership in our classroom community. I strive to create a classroom community that is inclusive, loving, and encouraging.

Every other week 3rd grade students join 1st grade classrooms to read together. Students developed friendships across grade levels that were seen on buses, hallways, playgrounds, and school events.
