Hello Chorus Families,

Please read for important upcoming information regarding Ligon Choruses.

UPCOMING CONCERT: Oct 4th at 7:00pm

Due to missing 3 rehearsals and the fact that we only had 4 weeks to put together something to show, this evening event will be more of an "informance" where the students will perform a few songs and we'll talk a little about what we've been learning so far, showing some vocal exercises and maybe having the parents try some with us! I'll also answer any questions you have about events happening this year. The students will wear jeans/dark pants with a Ligon T-shirt or solid blue or gold shirt.

AFTER SCHOOL MANDATORY REHEARSALS:

Sept 24th for Concert Chorus (2:30-4:00) which is the Honors Girls and Honors Boys combined. I need to leave campus by 4:30 so please make arrangements for a prompt pick up.

Oct 3rd for everyone (2:30-4:30) Both of these are counted as a test grade.

Google Calendar: I've added everyone who requested to have the Chorus Calendar shared with them. Let me know if you're having problems with it and I'll see if I can troubleshoot.

VE and HC Girls: Dress order forms and checks are due by Friday. Please ask your daughter about the form if you haven't seen it. When in doubt, order the larger size. It can be taken in and leave room to grow.

HC Boys: Do last year's tux pants still fit? Time to find out because the boys will come home with a uniform order sheet and their measurements by Friday. Please return with payment asap.

Parent Liasons: I have two wonderful moms who have volunteered to help with communications and organizing groups to help throughout the year. Please make sure you're able to receive emails from

Spirit Wear: Our printer company was affected greatly by the floods to our east as he is in Newport, so we'll have a delay in receiving our spirit wear orders. We're just glad that he was able to have working equipment after being under 4 feet of water! Thanks for your patience.

Finally, we have 7 students attending the NC Honors auditions next week in Greensboro. We wish them much luck! I know they'll represent Ligon well and I appreciate their hard work.
