When educators attend Phase 1 of the Race Equity Institute training they come back inspired and ready to do something. During the 2017-2018 school year, we started holding debriefing sessions for groups of teachers who attended the training to connect with each other and develop a personal commitment for moving equity work forward in our school. Kristen McCollum, an Assistant Principal at West Cary Middle School, and I are planning to host a debriefing session for the district this year. See the slide deck below for this session.
