Chinese 2 is the third-year Chinese course at Moore Square. It is also a year-long high school credit course. During third-year Chinese, students continue building their Chinese language skills and develop a more advanced understanding of Chinese culture. Students take virtual trips to China, learn China's geography, Chinese history, and are introduced to and experience Chinese food. Learning content includes planning for a trip, taking various forms of transportation, grocery shopping, cooking, etc.. By the end of the year, students should be able to write basic Chinese sentences using Chinese characters, carry out intermediate conversations, talk about their daily lives and about China, and have an advanced understanding of Chinese culture.
