Hello，I am Mrs. Jessica Jacobs, the Chinese teacher at Moore Square Magnet Middle School. I am from Shandong, China, and have been a Chinese teacher in the US for more than 14 years, teaching all levels of Chinese. I attended college and graduate school in China, was an assistant professor of Art there, and subsequently earned a Chinese-language teaching certificate and an MA in Chinese Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Other than teaching, I stay busy helping to take care of my daughter, Reiyah (16), and son, Eli (7). In my spare time, I enjoy reading Chinese novels, cooking, traveling, and doing artwork.

I love being a part of our great teaching team at Moore Square, and seeing my students improve in their knowledge of both China and the Chinese language.
