Resource services are provided for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade identified students at least once a week per identified area for 45 minutes.
2nd Grade is the AIG testing year. All students will be tested with the CogAT and then again with the IOWA if any subtests scores on the CogAT are 85% or higher. These scores are used in addition to work evidence through classroom learning and Fall Explorers classes to determine a need for gifted identification
Students referred for further evaluation by the SBC-GE will either be identified as AIG or they may be identified for the Talent Development Program.
Talent Development (TD) students in 4th grade must be served with the identified AIG students. A student can be placed in Talent Development in either reading and/or math depending on the student’s strengths as indicated through the data discussion.
All referred students may be served in other nurturing environments or in the Talent Development Program.
