The purpose of Unit 2 is to introduce informational speaking principles and speech organization. By the end of Unit 2, students will be able to:
- Organize a speech
- Analyze the organization of well-known speeches for efficacy
- Utilize Aristotle's Rhetorical Triangle to drive speech organization and appeals
- Apply Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to begin to analyze audience needs; Utilize this analysis and application in speech development
- Apply the basic principles of informational writing and speaking to develop and deliver an Informative Speech
