Oct. 15-Dec. 11, 2026: Early College Application window for Early colleges, Leadership Academies and Crossroads FLEX High School.
Oct. 15-Jan. 21, 2027: Choice Application window for magnet and year-round schools.
Feb. 24, 2027: Notification of results for all application windows
March 1-12, 2027: Second Round Magnet application window

Understanding Your Results

In the application portal for your magnet, year-round, or early college results, you will see one of the following for each of your choices:

Assigned - the applicant was selected and is assigned to this school
Applicant pool - the applicant was not selected for this school but is on a non-numeric waitlist called an applicant pool for this school since it was listed first on the application. The applicant could be selected later if seats become available.
Submitted - the applicant was not selected and is not in an applicant pool since this school was not listed first on the application.

Wake Early College of Health & Science

Wake Early College of Health and Sciences offers students a rigorous program combining high school and Wake Tech coursework with hands-on experiences through partnerships with WakeMed and Wake Tech. Over up to five years, students can earn a diploma, transferable college credits, and credentials that prepare them for health and science careers.

Wake Young Woman's Leadership Academy

Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy is a 6-13 early college program dedicated to empowering young women to Learn, Lead, and Serve. Through rigorous academics and meaningful emphasis on leadership, we cultivate confident students prepared to make a positive impact. Our 6th through 10th graders attend classes on the Governor Morehead campus, and our early college program is based at Shaw University.

Wake Young Men's Leadership Academy

Wake Young Men’s Leadership Academy is a 6-13 early college program that develops young men as leaders through rigorous academics, entrepreneurship, and community service, with middle school in downtown Raleigh and early college at Shaw University.

Wake STEM Early College High School

Wake STEM Early College High School is a five-year early college program partnered with NC State University, where students earn a high school diploma while taking college courses. Through project-based learning and the NC State Engineering Design Process, students explore global challenges and develop an engineering mindset to solve real-world problems.

Vernon Malone College & Career Academy

Vernon Malone College and Career Academy, in partnership with Wake Tech, combines high school academics with career-focused programs in Bioprocess Manufacturing, Cosmetology, Facility Maintenance, Nurse Aide, Simulation and Game Development and Welding. Students graduate with career credentials, workforce experience, and college credits that can be applied toward an Applied Science degree or certificate.

North Wake College & Career Academy

North Wake College and Career Academy, in partnership with Wake Tech, combines high school academics with career-focused programs in Culinary Arts, Business Administration, IT Support, and Emergency Medical Technology. Students graduate with workforce experience and college credits that can be applied toward an Applied Science degree or certificate.

Wake Early College of Information & Biotechnologies

Wake Early College of Information and Biotechnologies, located on Wake Tech’s RTP campus, blends high school and college coursework with a focus on IT and Biotechnology. Students graduate with a diploma and credits toward (or completion of) an Applied Sciences degree, along with real-world experience in fields like cybersecurity, software development, and bioanalytical lab technology.
