As volunteers arrive check their name off the list. If by 7:40 they have not arrived notify a Check-In Team Member. They will provide you a floater in replacement for those running behind. Once you have the correct amount of people take them to the field to meet with the Course Manager and all other Guide Teams to go over Guidelines, EAP, & Duties with the teams. After this, stop by the start/finish aid station for the complementary volunteer chicken biscuit. All team leads will then be dismissed to take their teams to their respective areas, ensure they know: which direction to keep people going, basic race facts, and they are familiar with all guidelines/procedures/EAP that were just provided to them. (Stop at bathrooms/water if needed)
Constantly walk/bike between your locations to make sure your route guides are okay (and doing their job!), monitor water/ice levels and notify if adjustment is needed. If a medical incident occurs immediately call it in via the walkies and a corresponding response will be put into action based on the EAP level activated.
Once a CFA5k Management Team Member gives the all clear to close the course Route Guide Leads should sweep the trail starting at their furthest location walking towards the start of the race, as this is occuring gather your Route Guides. (Please pick up any trash that you see on the way back) Any Guide Lead with a water station can break the table down, empty all cups/coolers and have an aid station member await pickup from a Area Supervisor via Gator.

Remain stationed at your respective area providing encouragement to runners as they go by! If you are at an intersection please warn all runners/bikers about the event in progress and advise that there is a large number of runners on the course. Please ask bikers to walk if they could as it poses a safety hazard, if any issues arise contact an area supervisor immediately.
