Nominations for AIG are accepted all year.  However, the timing of the nomination might affect the potential for testing.  Nominations submitted during the testing windows will not be considered until after testing has been completed.  Testing takes place in the Fall and in the Spring.  See below for testing window dates,

Teachers or parents may nominate high achieving 4th or 5th grade students who: 

• are only identified in one subject area. 

• are not currently identified in any subject area. 

• were not tested for AIG in the Spring of 2024.

• are new students in Wake County Schools.
