Meet the Teacher

Jennifer Vaughan

I'm so excited to be the AIG teacher here at Banks Road!  This is my 19th year of teaching, and I am very busy learning about the AIG program.  I spent the last 10 years teaching 2nd grade.  Before that, I taught 4th and 5th graders.

I am a North Carolina native.  I grew up in the mountains and Meredith College brought me to Raleigh.  I attended Meredith College for both my undergraduate degree (as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow) and my masters degree.  Making me an ODD and an sort of an even <iykyk>.  My son is in 4th grade making me a Banks Road Parent, in addition to being an OG staff member.

When not at Banks Road, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I love traveling to the beach and to the mountains. I love reading, gardening, hiking, and cheering on the Canes with my niece!
