Hello Gators! My name is Monika Sharma. This is my 26th year in education and my first year at Alston Ridge, and I couldn’t be more excited to serve this wonderful community.

North Carolina has been home to our family for the past 21 years. My husband also works in education with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI). We have two amazing children, our daughter is a proud Tar Heel attending UNC-Chapel Hill, and our son is getting ready to begin his journey at Early College this year.

I have a deep passion for connecting with and supporting young learners. I’m truly looking forward to getting to know your incredible children and working together to make a positive impact in their academic and personal growth.

When I’m not in the classroom or working with students, you’ll most likely find me in my garden, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or relaxing with a good TV show. I’m excited to begin this journey with all of you and can’t wait for a fantastic year ahead!
