Hello Gators!

My name is Ms. Catarata, and I’m delighted to join Alston Ridge Elementary as the ESL teacher for grades 2 and 3. I taught special education for nine years, six of them here at Alston Ridge, and I’m excited to bring that experience to support our multilingual learners.

When I was in sixth grade I moved to the Philippines and didn’t know Bisaya or Tagalog. Learning two new languages was challenging but deeply meaningful — an experience that helps me understand what many of our students face. I’m committed to helping them grow, build confidence, and succeed with English. I believe in every student and know they can do it!
