Course Description

In this course students create artwork with more in-depth approaches to drawing, painting and 3-D design. This class is designed for students who have a strong interest in Art and can focus collaboratively and independently for on personal and/or group projects in order to further their understanding and appreciation for making art. Students will review and apply the Visual Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Application of these elements to the students’ own original artwork is the major emphasis. In addition, students will be introduced to prominent past, contemporary, and multicultural artists.
