Math

Welcome to 6th grade! My name is Yazmin Ruiz. This is my 11th year teaching. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in elementary education (K-6) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2014. I earned my master's degree in K-6 mathematics from UNCG in 2021. 

Some interesting facts about me are that I have a twin sister and younger twin brothers. I have 2 kids; my daughter Cristina is a junior and my son Javi is in third grade. I have a shih tzu named Bella and a guinea pig named Toby. I enjoy listening to music (I am a huge Swiftie). I also love going on walks and bike riding. I have recently gotten into pickleball. 

I am very excited about this school year and look forward to getting to know you and your families.
