Hello and welcome to second grade! My name is Ashley Welton and I am excited to be your child’s 2nd grade teacher. First, I want to thank you for entrusting your child to me. My goal is to create a caring, comfortable, and challenging learning environment that will allow for plenty of laughter and fun. My hope is that this year your child will become a more confident and independent learner during our time together!

Next, a little about me– I’ve lived here in Fuquay for over 14 years. I was born and raised in North Carolina and have only ever lived in one other state (Florida) briefly when I was very young. I attended East Carolina University where I met my husband, Craig. We have 3 children, two boys ages 17 and 14, and one girl aged 11 who just moved on from Ballentine! We also have a ton of critters. Most of my free time is dedicated to my children and animals! I love to rescue animals and we frequently have several foster dogs in the house. We currently have 5 dogs of our own and 2 foster dogs. We have 3 cats who were rescued as strays outside our home, but we care for many more feral cats. We also have a rescued bearded dragon and 2 rescued hermit crabs. 🙂
