Resources

Resources I LOVE!

Below are some resources I love as a teacher and a STEM Club Leader. As I hear from some of you through Twitter @missmpeterson I would love to continue to add to this list!

WEBSITES

  • www.brainpop.com and www.brainpopjr.com - These are great websites that have engaging informational videos on a range of topics. Sadly, these are paid sites, however there are several videos on each site that are free!
  • http://worldslargestlesson.globalgoals.org/ - This site has great videos and activities related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals!
  • www.nearpod.com - This is an awesome, interactive website introduced to me by my friend and teammate! Although some of the paid features are great, you can absolutely use the free version. Nearpod has a library full interactive slide show on a variety of topics. If you don't see anything in the library, you can create a presentation to meet your needs!
  • https://web.seesaw.me/ - I was just introduced to Seesaw last week and you need to check it out! Even though I do many of the same things using Google for Education. I love the draw and record feature on seesaw. Definitely an application I will be using in the future!
  • www.flocabulary.com - This will be the best $100 you spend all year! It covers just about any topic you can think about using songs that kids love! In addition to the "music videos" each one comes with extra resources and activities.
