CKMS - Radio Waterloo - 102.7 Presents: Student Podcasts broadcast in the Community
Add to your media resume by having your podcast or station ID aired throughout the community on CKMS 102.7FM Radio Waterloo and worldwide via the CKMS online feed. Community has been a stepping stone for various media production since 1977 when it started. He is a compiled list of some of Canada's top media persona who got their start in Community Radio:

1) Think of a theme for your show. You can do your podcast about movies, albums, an interviews, a new album release, Student life, post COVID situations, etc.
Literally anything your can think of that does not involve racism, hate or other bad things.
2) Create a script. It can be word for word or just point form.
Since these podcasts may be aired more than once on CKMS, you should try NOT to timestamp your podcast by saying the date or that it is showing. Instead focus your dialogue on the artist that you are featuring or the movie etc.
3) Arrange a time to connect with your group and record. (you may also work as an individual)
4) Import & Edit your podcast using audition or audacity (free option - or any other software). Or record a live podcast using Mixx
5) Export and Submit your edited podcast as a .mp3 file
EXTENSION: A good radio podcast need a great Image/logo to draw people into listening.
Think about the "click bait" that YouTube thumbnails have. Submit this with you podcast (optional)
A "Station ID" or "Radio Stinger" is a brief little audio piece that radio DJ's play often to promote their radio station. The CRTC (Canadian Radio Telecommunication Commission) requires that radio stations say their call letters and frequency approximately once per hour. So these "Radio Stingers" are often used to fulfill these CRTC requirements.
These singers can include any appropriate audio clips or music. These radio stingers are usually very short.
