Composition

Composition in Year 9 is about developing confidence and creativity. Students will engage with notating compositions and also using DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) to create sample and loop based music. In class students will the opportunity to experiment and explore a range of musical styles as they gain skills in creating original music. 

Below is the Learning Progression feedback sheet that students will given as they complete their Composition activities in class. Prior to this students will have had feedback (either verbal or written) from their classroom teacher.
