The Program of Activities (POA) defines a chapter's goals, outlines the steps needed to meet those goals and acts as a calendar of events the chapter will follow in the year ahead.
Growing Leaders
Leadership
The FFA will attend the the Ohio FFA Leadership Night Conference, Ohio FFA Convention and the National FFA Convention.
Scholarship
The FFA in collaboration with DECA and FCCLA will develop a career tech scholarship fund that recognizes outstanding seniors in their chosen career tech area.
Career Success
The FFA will select 6 students to attend the annual career success tour. This year's tour will feature businesses and universities related to agriculture in the state of Texas.
Building Communities
Citizenship
The FFA will collaborate with the JROTC program to host the annual Veterans Day breakfast and ceremony.
Stakeholder Engagement
The FFA will participate in the Ag Reality program sponsored by the Brown County Extension office and Farm Service Agency office. This program will simulate farm ownership in which students have to make management decisions related to their farm such as equipment and other input purchases and marketing of livestock and crop decisions. Local insurance companies, equipment dealers, bankers and more will help coordinate the program.
Economic Development
The FFA will provide a Taste of Hope meal at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Cincinnati.
Strengthening Agriculture
Chapter Recruitment
The FFA will promote the program at the annual Choose Your Future Night for 8th graders and also host a new member/parent orientation night for all first year members.
Safety Committee
Students in the Mechanical Principles class will earn their OSHA 10, CPR and First Aid industry certifications.
Agricultural Advocacy
Members of the program will represent the FFA at a district board meeting to promote agriculture education.
