We understand that for years, your trusty desk phone has been a reliable fixture in your classroom or office. Now, we're transitioning to Zoom Phone, a modern, cloud-based communication system integrated directly into the Zoom platform you're already familiar with for meetings.
Think of Zoom Phone as making your communication more adaptable to your dynamic teaching environment. Whether you're in your primary classroom, a specialist room, or even moving between buildings, you can make and receive calls using your school number, easily check voicemails, and manage your communications all within the same Zoom application.
Everyone who had an extension will still have the same extension in our system. To dial and extension, you just need to dial the 4-digits.
To dial an outside line, just dial the number (no need to dial 8 first)
To dial 911, just dial 9-1-1
In general, all year-round employees that have a desk phone and all teachers who are advisors will have direct lines as well. You can give these lines out to parents or any contacts -- when dialed, it will go directly to your extension.
For safety and security, there will still be phones in nearly every room on campus
You can check voicemail and make calls from your computer or cell phone (see below)
