GAP (Graduation Assistance Program) 

Program will close on May 20, 2025. Please check with Ms. LaDonna about a spot in the Wayne County Virtual School to complete your high school education.

Our Graduation Assistance Program in Wayne County is an opportunity for rising seniors to graduate high school early so they can enter the workforce sooner. Rising Seniors need to speak with their principals for permission to enter this program. 

Proficient Students must:

• Be Senior Ranking

• Show initiative to succeed

• Need an alternative school format

• Be self-disciplined, responsible, & hard-working

• Be employed*

• Have the ability to balance workload

Since this is an OPPORTUNITY, and flexibility is entrusted to the student, strict contracted terms will be in place... VIOLATION of these terms WILL result in removal of the student from the program.

 We do not work with juniors in the GAP until all their EOC exam courses have been taken at the high school.  We usually wait until the spring semester of their junior year to work on a plan.  This requires the principal's permission to enter as well.
