Welcome to JFK’s K Wrap Class! Our mission is to create a nurturing environment so that children feel safe and loved to make new friends, explore new things, and get excited about learning.

By using a weekly theme and a centers-based approach, we reinforce kindergarten skills learned in Fundations, Schoolwide, Math, Science and Social Studies. Centers provide a fun and un-intimidating way to practice skills like, comparing and writing numbers, decoding, reading and writing new words. We have been exploring Science and Social Studies topics such as the five senses, hibernation and family traditions. Most importantly, centers allow children time to interact and develop skills necessary for their emotional and social growth. They learn how to cooperate, problem solve and negotiate differences.
