Strong, earnest, and down-to-earth (literally); Taurus is the second zodiac sign!  It is ruled by the planet Venus.  It blooms as a zodiac sign of the Earth element.  It is represented by the bull, a symbol of strength and persistence.  Being an even-numbered sign, Taurus is on the negative side of the zodiacs.  It is a fixed sign; meaning it’s in the sky in the middle of Spring.  During this time, cherry blossoms fall and blanket the ground in beautiful pink petals.  It truly celebrates spring as the return of flowers and earthen beauty.  Taurus continues the hope and strength that Spring brings.  

Taureans are strong; both mentally and physically.  Once they find something to believe in, they hold onto it for a very long time.  When something bad happens, they are resilient and charge through any obstacles like the bull.  Their key word is “possess” - power is their middle name and it is their natural obsession.  Cher’s disco-pop melody Strong Enough is a perfect power anthem for Taurus:  “Come hell or waters high, you’ll never see me cry”.  This song is about a man who was not honest with her and betrayed her - but she got through it cand came out of it stronger than ever before.  Cher, often revered as “The Goddess of Pop” is an Aries herself, which is obvious through her steadfast musical career that spans over 50 years.  She is turning 79 on the last day of Taurus (May 20) and is known for maintaining a youthful glow that she never lost.  Born Cherilyn Sarkisian in 1946, she has gone through “hell [and] waters high” and came out of it with utmost strength and believed in herself, making her the perfect manifestation of a true Taurus.  Other anthems include Believe by Cher, I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, and Survivor by Destiny’s Child.

With Taurus’s earnesty and sincerity, they are the most stubborn of the zodiacs and almost never change their minds.  This makes it hard for them to accept change.  Don’t toy around with a Taurus - they’re strong enough to know it’s not worth it.  They’re not unpredictable or spontaneous, so once they charge through; they keep fighting until the battle is won.
