Catherine Howell

I was born in Waycross and lived most of my life on a country road in Hoboken GA. My parents worked hard encouraging and supporting their four daughters in everything we wanted to try. I was in 4-H, the Brantley County Marching Heron Band, sang in the chorus, and was the editor of the yearbook my senior year. My parents didn't give me an option on where I was going to college only that I was going. I attended Georgia College and State University and obtained my teaching degree, I went back and obtained my Master's degree from Troy State and finally, I went back again and obtained my Specialist in Education from Lesley University. I am currently in my 23rd year of teaching and I still love it.

Nací en Waycross y viví la mayor parte de mi vida en una carretera rural en Hoboken GA. Mis padres trabajaron arduamente animando y apoyando a sus cuatro hijas en todo lo que queríamos intentar. Yo estaba en 4-H, la Banda Marching Heron Band del condado de Brantley, canté en el coro y fui el editor del anuario en mi último año. Mis padres no me dieron una opción sobre a dónde iba a ir a la universidad, solo que iba. This is my husband, Kenneth Howell. We have been married for 27 years. He works as an HVAC technician. He converted his 1990 Mustang into a racecar and takes it to the autocross track where he races it.
