Our class has been participating in an exciting project called Hearts Around the World, where we send and receive Valentines from other elementary school classes across the country—and even around the world! This project has been an incredible way for our students to not only spread kindness but also learn about different states and countries in the process.
Each time we receive a Valentine, we take time to learn about where it came from. We've looked up different states on the map, learned about famous landmarks, and even discovered fun facts about other cultures. The students have been so excited to see where each new Valentine comes from!
This week, we had a very special surprise—a Valentine from our Governor! The students were thrilled to receive a letter from such an important leader in our state. It was a great opportunity to talk about what a governor does and how leaders help take care of our communities.
Through this project, our students have gained a deeper appreciation for the world around them. They’ve realized that while we may live in different places, kindness connects us all. We can’t wait to see where our next Valentine comes from!
Stay tuned for more updates on our journey around the world!
