The internship experience provided a platform for continuous learning and growth under the guidance of experienced mentors and faculty members.

The program's focus on specialization in serving students with learning disabilities has empowered me to address individual learning needs effectively, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive in both academic and social-emotional domains.
Moreover, the MSU Special Education program instilled in me a profound understanding of the cultural and social contexts in which students live and learn. Recognizing the importance of cultural competence in teaching, I have developed the sensitivity and awareness necessary to create inclusive and supportive learning environments that honor students' diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Furthermore, the program has empowered me with practical skills to navigate the complexities of teaching. From classroom management strategies to differentiated instruction techniques, I feel confident in my ability to meet the diverse needs of students and foster a learning environment conducive to growth and success.
Beyond the classroom, the program has instilled in me a commitment to high standards of professional practice and conduct. I am dedicated to upholding ethical principles and serving as an advocate for students, ensuring that they receive the quality education they deserve.
As I look ahead, I am excited about the opportunities that await me as a graduate of the MSU Special Education program. Armed with a solid foundation of knowledge, skills, and passion, I am prepared to embark on a fulfilling career dedicated to helping all students access and succeed in general education settings. Whether assuming new roles or taking on leadership positions, I am confident in my ability to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and contribute positively to the field of education.
In essence, my time as a Michigan State University teaching intern has been transformative, shaping me into a competent, compassionate, and dedicated educator ready to make a difference in the lives of students.
