What services do you provide as a School Social Worker/School Psychologist?
As student service staff in the building, we provide a variety of things that allow us to advocate for each and every student. Our roles vary a bit between School Social Worker and School Psychologist, but we work closely to make sure to meet the needs of our kids. We provide classroom guidance/whole group instruction throughout the year, responsive services that allow for individual/group counseling, behavioral responses, special education referrals, and much more. Feel free to contact either Mrs. Buss or myself in the meantime to gain further clarification
What is a Social Emotional Specialist?
Social Emotional Specialist were initially hired through federal grants (Esser Funds) during Covid. These positions provide SEL support to students in our building through Social Emotional Groups, Check In Check Out, and classroom/teacher coaching.Â
