Financial Aid

Financial Aid

Student financial aid in the United States is funding available to individual students attending a post-secondary educational institution to cover costs associated with attending. These costs include, but are not limited to, tuition, fees, room and board, transportation, and books.

Financial aid is available from federal, state, educational institutions, and private agencies (foundations), and can be awarded in the forms of grants, education loans, work-study and scholarships.

**Please note that in order to apply for any federal financial aid students must first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Financial Aid Night 2020 - Virtual

Unfortunately, the 2020 Financial Aid Night has been cancelled due to COVID-19. To help support our families as they navigate financial aid for college, Jeff Cichon, who is the Director of Financial Aid at NTC and our regular presenter, has created a slideshow pertaining to financial aid, FAFSA, loans, grants and work study (presentation is below).  You can find a pdf version of the presentation here.

If you still have questions after viewing the presentation, please contact the Financial Aid Office of the interested college or attend a College Goal Wisconsin event where financial aid experts from area colleges can answer specific questions about financial aid and the FAFSA. Please see the College Goal Wisconsin flyer for more information and to register for an event.

Keep in mind, while this presentation is geared towards NTC students, the information preseneted relates to all colleges
