Classroom Instruction: Contextual, inquiry-based instruction and learning within the agricultural industries. This is done through classroom activities, assessments and labs with the focus on current topics and technologies in agriculture. This integrates Supervised Agricultural Experiences and FFA principles into daily instruction.
Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE): The SAE/Semester Project is a semester long project that all students within the agriculture department complete, to tie in what they learn within the classes as well as what students do/can do within various agricultural industries. This gives students hands-on experiences and the opportunity to showcase what they have accomplished as well as how they are working within different agricultural industries. This integrates Classroom Instruction and FFA principles into career readiness skills. For more explanation, please see the SAE For All guides.
FFA: The National FFA Organization as an intra-curricular network of professionals that aid students in following their interest in agriculture. The Waunakee FFA chapter wants to give every student an opportunity to further their discovery in an agriculture field, develop career/life skills and provide a vast amount of competitions/awards/scholarships that students can capitalize on within their courses. This integrates Classroom Instruction and SAE principles into career/life skills.
