Basecamp Overview
Watson Institute envisions the Basecamp as an experience, by which Fellows grow their leadership skills, enhance their network, and receive valuable feedback by holding a 1-3 community-focused event. Each Fellow receives training on how to craft a Basecamp for 30+ individuals, as well as an additional stipend to kickstart their event planning.
Entrepreneurial-Based Event
This track focuses on fostering entrepreneurial development within the community. Fellows can organize events tailored to support entrepreneurs at different stages: new entrepreneurs, middle-stage entrepreneurs, and those with established businesses aiming to scale. The goal is to promote growth and development among local entrepreneurs, helping them succeed at various points in their entrepreneurial journey.
Venture-Centered Event
This track allows Fellows to test how their venture or organization is perceived within the community. Each event is specifically tailored to the Fellow’s venture, providing targeted feedback and opportunities to connect with thought leaders and relevant networks. This helps Fellows gain valuable insights and build connections that are crucial for the growth and success of their venture.
