6. Listen to the other person.
Reasons
Lets the teacher know that you can accept criticism or a consequence and are not just pouting.
If you are polite the others may change their mind.
Shows that you are not pouting about an earlier decision.

Think about a time when you disagreed inappropriately. How did the person you disagreed with respond?
