WHS ANNOUNCES NEW FOOTBALL COACH
NEW SPORTS REGISTRATION PROGRAM BEGINNING SPRING 2026: The Waterford athletic department has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic participation forms for your students. The program saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time.
You may review your data at any time to verify that it is current and you will only be required to sign your forms once per school year (and after any update.)
Click on the Parent Playbook / Parent Playbook - Spanish to get started in FinalForms. If you require any support during the process, scroll to the bottom of the FinalForms website page and click "Get Help."
Register at FinalForms and follow the prompts to create your account, create your students and sign your forms.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
PARENTS are required to set up their FinalForms account and register their student-athlete in FinalForms with their email. Parents will receive an email prompting them to confirm and complete the registration.
STUDENT-ATHLETES are required to sign specific forms. Once parents complete signing their forms, FinalForms will then send an email to the student-athlete at the email address that the parent provides (preferably their school email address) when setting up the account and registering their student-athlete(s).
The PARENT email and STUDENT email MUST be DIFFERENT email addresses in order for the registration process to be completed. Student-athletes will not be able to participate until all required forms are signed by both the parent and athlete.
Beginning with the 26-27 school year, parents/students will only need to sign their forms once per school year (and after any update). Parents will be able to register their student-athlete for fall, winter and spring sports simultaneously once registration opens in June 2026. This is especially convenient for multi-sport athletes who are currently required to register each season.
A current physical examination is required to be on file with us BEFORE participation in any tryout, practice, or contest in interscholastic athletics at Waterford High School. In accordance with the policy of the Waterford Board of Education and the CIAC, the physical examination for sports is valid for 13 months. No athlete may legally participate until they have medical clearance (as verified by the school R.N.) and parental permission. Please contact the nurse's office at 860-437-6956 or WHSNurse@waterfordschools.org, if you have any questions or concerns.
Parents/Guardians are responsible for filling out this registration form completely and ensuring that any and all medical information concerning your child's health, medical concerns, injuries, medications and allergies are reported to the nurse.

__________
Unified Sports is a program that combines approximately equal numbers of athletes, with and without disabilities, on sports teams for training and competition. All unified sports players, both athletes and partners, are of similar age and matched sport skill ability. It was inspired by a simple principle; training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.
WHS sponsors a unified sports program and we would be excited to have your child be a part of it. The commitment is approximately one practice per week, along with competitions between other schools a few times per season.
WHS has been recognized as a National Unified Champion School. Schools receive the designation for demonstrating commitment to inclusion by meeting 10 standards of excellence. The primary activities within these standards include Unified Sports, Inclusive Youth Leadership and Whole-School Engagement.
