Lucero Escobar is a junior at Watauga high who has been playing the violin since 4th grade.
"I picked up the violin and absolutely fell in love with it."
Lucero said she didn't see herself becoming a music major but,
" One thing I do know is that I want my musical ability to continue, even though I might not pursue a career in music it doesn't mean that I'll stop playing my violin."
When asked how she felt her music was represented by Watauga she said, ¨I feel like the music here at Watauga is represented only by our music students and our teachers. Like everyone knows that the arts program isn't going to be represented as much as athletics or the football team, But I feel that as long as we continue to attract and recruit new coming students to the band, orchestra or choir our representation is going to grow."
" We all wish that the school supported us and helped us out more like they do for athletics or other stuff but they do as much as they can right?"
